The Kennebec River is one of the most diverse and celebrated rivers in the Northeast. Almost every aspect of the Kennebec is divided into unique tail-water sections, created by hydroelectric dams. Initiatives from conservation-minded groups as well as good management strategies implemented by state and federal governing agencies have allowed the Kennebec to develop into a blossom of a fishery.

Drift boats have evolved in shape and design from the original bateaus that pioneered this fabled river, and continue to be the ultimate craft to fish the best sections of the river.

The Androscoggin River water originates from the Rangeley Lakes region watershed, but becomes the "Andro" in eastern New Hampshire. The river flows south and then enters western Maine just outside the White Mountain National Park in the shadow of the Presidential Range. These mountains provide a breathtaking backdrop for one of the best trout fishing destinations developing in the northeast!

Again, drift boating is the preferred watercraft of choice, and there are several unique sections we explore. Bethel is a charming western Maine community in relative proximity to Portland and Boston, and offers comfortable modern amenities and many alternative activities for spouses and non-fishing family guests.
