The Androscoggin River water originates from the Rangeley Lakes region watershed, but
becomes the "Andro" in eastern New Hampshire. The river flows south and then enters western Maine just outside the White Mountain National Park in the shadow of the
Presidential Range. These mountains provide a breathtaking backdrop for one of the best trout fishing destinations developing in the northeast! Again, drift boating is the
preferred watercraft of choice, and there are several unique sections we explore. Bethel is a charming western Maine community in relative proximity to Portland and Boston,
and offers comfortable modern amenities and many alternative activities for spouses and non-fishing family guests. |
